Empowering the Next Generation of Golf Industry Professionals at Michigan FFA! ⛳🌱

The Michigan Golf Course Association (MGCA) was proud to participate in the Michigan FFA Careers Conference October 8, 2026  to showcase "Career Paths in Golf Course Maintenance" and present our Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP)!

Through informative presentations and interactive displays, students were given an inside look at how passion for agriculture, turfgrass science, and outdoor machinery can be translated into a rewarding career.

Through federally approved On-the-Job Training (OJT) and online learning, our Registered Apprenticeship Program helps students achieve nationally recognized Journey Worker status as Golf Course Maintenance Technicians while improving their long-term earning potential.

Thank you to all the students, advisors, and industry leaders—including Mike Morris, MGCA Project Manager  and Jordan Caplan, Superintendent, Belvedere Golf Club, who made our interactive booth and presentation such a success!
