The Corporate Transparency Act has been overturned, you do not have to register your business with FinCEN.
Earned Sick Time Act & Preserve the Tip Credit
The Earned Sick Time Act went into effect for all Michigan Businesses on February 21, 2025. All employers in the state of Michigan will be subject to new rules on minimum wage, paid sick leave, and tipped wages.

What You Need to Know

Employees cannot use earned sick time until 120 days after start date (unless you are front loading EST)

Employees not employed with you for three consecutive months have the 120-day waiting period reset

Employees earn one hour of paid earned sick time for every 30 hours worked
-
Individuals employed in accordance with the Youth Employee Standards Act 1978 PA 90 (youth work permit) are exempt from earning sick time
Minimum Wage in Michigan is now:

$12.48 for hourly employees

$4.74 for tipped employees

On Feb. 21, 2025, the Michigan Earned Sick Time Act went into effect, establishing changes to the state’s earned sick time laws. House Bill 4002, amends the existing Earned Sick Time Act and will expand paid sick leave.
