The Michigan Golf Course Association (MGCA) proudly congratulates Jay Eccleton, Director of Operations at The Emerald Golf Course in St. Johns, on his recent appointment to the State of Michigan's Water Use Advisory Council (WUAC).

Appointed by EGLE Director Phillip D. Roos, Eccleton will serve as MGCA representative of nonagriculture irrigators through February 28, 2027. He fills the seat previously held by Charlie Scott and will play a vital role in advising the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) on issues related to water availability, conservation, conflict resolution, and policy frameworks that impact stakeholders statewide.

"We are thrilled to see one of our members contributing to critical statewide discussions that affect not only the golf industry but the future of Michigan's natural resources." said Jada Paisley, Executive Director of MGCA

The WUAC is comprised of representatives from a wide range of sectors, ensuring all voices are considered in the shaping of Michigan's water use strategy.
